Bring Covered Bridges of New Hampshire to your Community
HOST A PROGRAM
Covered Bridges Past & Present
Bring New Hampshire’s historic covered bridges to life with Kim’s engaging and informative presentations. Whether in person or online, her programs explore the stories, architecture, and cultural legacy of these iconic structures—both past and present.
Each program is customized for your audience. Kim can focus on a specific bridge, town, or region, creating a presentation that speaks directly to your community’s interests. No two programs are the same, and each one is carefully crafted to educate, entertain, and inspire.
Kim also offers broader programs covering the history of New Hampshire’s covered bridges, the role of bridgewrights and railroad bridges, major flood events, preservation efforts, and the research behind her book.
If your group is mobile, a guided walking or driving tour is a unique and memorable way to experience these bridges in person. Virtual presentations are available via Zoom for groups near and far.
Check the calendar to see upcoming events, or get in touch to schedule a presentation for your organization.

TESTIMONIALS
Program Reviews
This program took the participants beyond the picturesque aspects of covered bridges to the how and why they existed and the importance of preserving the covered bridges remaining. It was great to hear about the covered bridges in our town but also about the covered bridges of New Hampshire.
David C., Pittsburg Historical Society

Kim not only knew her subject and answered loads of questions off the cuff, she was funny and entertaining to listen to. She is obviously enthusiastic about covered bridges and it shows. It was particularly neat hearing about the bridges in our town and surrounding areas, which no longer exist and are not in the book. Kim took the time to personalize her talk just for us!
Karen B., Milford Historical Society Program

Kim is an amazing speaker. I am so glad she changed up the program so it was different than what I had heard before. I absolutely loved both the topic and the anecdotes she used in the presentation. Again, I can’t say enough good things about Kim. She engages her audience, presents facts and fun anecdotes about the bridges, builders and towns she presents and is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of New Hampshire Covered Bridges. If you have not seen one of her presentations, you really need to!
Shannon C., Daughters of the American Revolution Program

Her visuals were very good. Her presentation skills are extremely strong: enthusiastic, personable, knowledgeable, prepared, good sense of humor, very down to earth and didn’t talk down to her audience. Open to ideas and audience participation. Her whole presentation and approach were excellent.
Laurie J., Fox Forest Program

Kim is one of the best speakers we’ve had. She really holds the audiences attention and is so well researched. Kim is intelligent, well spoken, very prepared, and entertaining. Her presentation had lots of color photos of the bridges that were clear and easy to see. She had a great sense of humor and wit that shined through.
Anonymous, Nesmith Library Program

Kim puts on a very good program: She is personable (funny!), prepared, and organized. The topic of covered bridges doesn’t immediately speak to residents of the Seacoast but she ably followed the history of local bridges and explained why they no longer exist. She was also a pleasure to work with. Very professional presentation, no obvious drawbacks.
