DESCRIPTION:New Hampshire once had over 350 covered bridges. The Seacoast Area had several covered bridges along its landscape from the mid-1800s until the last one was destroyed by arson in 1981. Join our presenter as she discusses the history of these lost bridges and provides an overview of the remaining historic covered bridges in New Hampshire\, including the preservation efforts that are in place to ensure those bridges remain. \nThis course is offered through OLLI at UNH.
