SUMMARY:Program - Covered Bridges of the Contoocook River
DESCRIPTION:The Contoocook River originates at its namesake lake and flows seventy-one miles in a uniquely northward direction until it empties into the Merrimack River. At one time\, twenty-one covered bridges spanned the Contoocook; today\, only four remain. National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges President Bill Caswell and author of Covered Bridges of New Hampshire Kim Varney Chandler will share the history of these historic structures.  \nAdvanced registration is required through this link.
