DESCRIPTION:New Hampshire was once home to over 300 covered bridges. Today\, there are over sixty authentic covered bridges in New Hampshire\, forty-six of which are over a century old. These bridges exist solely because of the efforts of a small but powerful community that both recognized their significance and honored their tradition. Join Kim as she shares an overview of covered bridges in the Granite State along with interesting facts she uncovered while researching her 2022 book\, Covered Bridges of New Hampshire. This program is sponsored by the Buntin-Rumford-Webster Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and made possible by a grant from New Hampshire Humanities. The program is open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Today\, there are over sixty authentic covered bridges in New Hampshire\, forty-six of which are over a century old. Join Kim as she shares an overview of the remaining historic covered bridges in New Hampshire and the historic preservation efforts that worked to save them. This program will share the rich histories of the existing covered bridges in the greater Ashland Area (Squam River\, Smith Millennium\, Turkey Jim’s\, Bump\, and Blair Bridges) as well as information about the many covered bridges that have been lost to time. Following the program\, Kim will be available to sign copies of Covered Bridges of New Hampshire.
