Program – Covered Bridges near Conway, Past & Present
November 1, 2025 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
New Hampshire is home to over sixty-one covered bridges, 46 of which are over a century old. Join Kim as she presents an overview of these bridges and shares information on the Conway area covered bridges that have been lost to time. Learn the rich histories of the existing covered bridges in the greater Conway Area – Saco River, Swift River, Stoney Morrell, Bartlett, Jackson, and Albany Bridges. This program includes an overview of historic preservation efforts to save these historic landmarks and resources to start your own journey of discovering New Hampshire’s covered bridges.
Following the presentation, Kim will be available to sign copies of Covered Bridges of New Hampshire. This program is hosted by the Conway Public Library and made possible by a grant from New Hampshire Humanities. The program is open to the public.
