Course – Covered Bridges near Manchester, Past & Present

New Hampshire boasts more than 61 covered bridges, 46 of which have stood for over 100 years. In this informative program, author Kim Varney Chandler offers a rich overview of these historic structures, sharing their stories and architectural significance. The presentation includes a special segment on covered bridges in the Manchester area that have disappeared over time.

Attendees will also learn about statewide preservation efforts and discover how to begin their own journey exploring these iconic landmarks.

After the presentation, Kim will be available to sign copies of her book, Covered Bridges of New Hampshire.

This course is offered through OLLI at the University of New Hampshire.
